So much to be thankful for this fall and always. I feel as
so many do during these months, that life is moving very quickly!!! We enjoyed this month lighting
our first fire of the season, planning for pending vacations and holiday
celebrations.
Thanksgiving was the first holiday without
my beautiful Great Grandmother, Mimi. We honored the tradition of hosting the
family meal in her home, but to say it was not the same would be a huge
understatement and could never do the void of her absence justice. We “got
thru it” it seems… We made some of
her favorite/ signature dishes: celery and cream cheese, and her Banana Nut
Bread! It was a lovely surprise to find out Mimi had prepared and frozen her
home made stuffing and left in the freezer for us all to enjoy one last time.
Post -Thanksgiving, we went in to Christmas decorating and
prep mode! Our house quickly transformed into a Feliz Navidad ad… Another
reason for giving much thanks, our home and our lives are filled with so much Spanish and English happiness and joy!
We look forward to catching up more with everyone in the
coming weeks of Christmas and New Years.

Morning after attacks in Paris: "What kind of world do we live in? Did they they want the people's land in Paris? If they had destroyed the Eifell Tower, that would haave really been something. In the next few years, I would imagine that this will be in teh history books. I hope they are not coming here next..."
