August 2012, Back To School!

Eva sleeping with 4 Mommy Hi!

The school year is off to a great start for all of us! I am adjusting to my new campus, and they to me! :) Not knowing the kids is the hardest part... with 2500 it is kind of hard. I did not realize what a big gift it was to open a new campus and get to truly know each class as they entered high school. I am getting out in the classrooms though and with lunch duty almost every day, I am working on it.
Colman's year is off  to a nice start as well, with approx. 180 students in AP he is going to be very busy. Right now he is just adjusting to standing all day, his legs and feet are tired this first week! He still manages to come home and get a run in... So love him!
Eva was not looking forward to the return of school, early to bed and early to rise routines. But so far doing great with it all! She was however looking forward to sporting her new backpack, lunch bag and water bottle  (from Justice of course) and her CCA jumper with pink sparkle Toms/ pink and green flower crocs.
Bed time story with Mom and Colman, "Amelia Bedelia" again....
Colman's parents gave Eva this book when they visited this summer and Eva LOVES it!

Open House at CCA, Aug 24th
Eva reconnects with her girlfriends from school: Brooke, Eden and holding Karly! The girls giggled, ran around and planned their 1st day of school outfits. (khaki skort and navy blue polo).

Monday, August 27, 2012- first day of 1st grade at CCA

1st day of school with Ms. Higgins, our teacher

Jacob and Eva sign each others year book! Their 1st ones!
Comments from the princess:

"Mom, is there an age when people can't get married again?" "Like you just have to stay married, you can't change your mind because you are too old?"

"Mom, are you / Colman going to change your mind...? Ever?"

"I like first grade, no worksheets the first day! We just got to play!!!"

The following statement was said very ephatically as she entered the kitchen carrying a picture of Colman and his sister Rachel on her wedding day.: "I thought you were not ever married!?!?" :) Of course we explained the picture and she felt much relief that she had not been lied too.
